Jack McFarlane, Board Chair of the Community Futures Development Corporation of Chatham Kent, has announce the appointment of David Argenti as its Executive Director, effective September 3, 2024.
This appointment follows a thorough local and national search, filling this critical and important position.
Argenti joins Community Futures CK from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where he has been a Branch Manager for the last nine years, Community Futures officials say.
Argenti has built a career in the Chatham-Kent region in the Financial Services sector over the past 20 years, holding numerous positions from life insurance, to financial planning, to being an investment representative and a small business advisor.
Argenti is a dynamic and visionary leader who is very civic-minded and demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to our community.
In 2018, he was elected to the Board of Trustees with the St. Clair Catholic District School Board in the municipal election, and in his second term, he was acclaimed and became the vice chair of the Board, a position he still holds today.
“On behalf of the entire Community Futures Chatham Kent Board, we are thrilled to welcome David to the Team,” said Jack McFarlane, in a media release.
David takes over for Donna Pollock, who, after over five years in the role, will be retiring from Community Futures CK at the end of October.
“The Board of Directors is thrilled to see Donna move on to a new chapter of her life, and at the same time, we are incredibly grateful for her significant contribution over the last five years,” McFarlane added.
“We recognize that the Community Futures CK that Donna joined back in 2019 is not the same organization she will be leaving, and we are very proud of the transformation and incredible success we’ve achieved together. Because of Donna’s strong leadership, Community Futures CK will continue to thrive for many years to come.”
“I’m thrilled to take on the role of Executive Director of Community Futures Development Corporation of Chatham-Kent and lead an organization that is so important to actively promote, encourage and facilitate economic growth in Chatham-Kent,” said Argenti, in a media release.
“I look forward to working with the staff, the Board, and the incredible community of Chatham-Kent.”
