Outstanding warrant executed for impaired driving investigation in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:55 a.m., the man was arrested while in custody in Sarnia.

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a March 2024 impaired driving investigation in Chatham.

The 23-year-old Chatham man was transported to the Ontario Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and held pending a bail hearing.

As a result of the bail hearing, he was remanded into custody until his next video court appearance on September 10, 2024.

He was transported to Southwest Regional Detention Centre.

He is currently facing the following charges: theft, possession of stolen property, impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and two counts of failing to attend court.
