“(Above) is Betty Tack accepting an award for personal promotion (advertising) in 1990. This photo was taken in Toronto and the award was for all of Ontario. FYI colour photos did exist however black and white photos were the preferred use for newspapers.”
Here is what Betty had to say about the photos: “A Blast from the Past…. I remember the convention was at the Royal York downtown Toronto. A time when most Realtors took out full page ads in our local newspapers. If you wanted to see the inside, you would call a Realtor to set up an appointment to have a look. There was such a thing as a cell phone but is was huge and sat beside you between your car’s front seat! It didn’t have internet…no texting, messaging or web sites. I still love the personal interaction with my clients.”
