Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 10:35 a.m., emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Talbot Trail, situated between Goulet Road and Kendall Road in Raleigh Township.
The incident involved two vehicles: a VW Passat, which had a single occupant, and a Jeep Cherokee, occupied by a driver and a passenger.
The collision resulted in one vehicle ending up in a ditch on the south side of the roadway, while the other faced north in the westbound lane.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
A 37-year-old man from Tilbury East Township was pronounced deceased at the scene by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
A 48-year-old woman from Windsor was airlifted by Ornge to a hospital in London for further medical treatment.
Additionally, a 45-year-old man, also from Windsor and a passenger in the Jeep, was transported to a local hospital for care.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit is actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision.
