Salvation Army opens its annual Christmas assistance registration

The Salvation Army is opening its annual Christmas assistance registration from October 28 through November 29, 2024, to support families in need during the holiday season.

No appointments are required for registration, which will be conducted at Community and Family Service offices in Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Ridgetown.

In Chatham, families can register at 19 Raleigh Street, available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Wallaceburg location, at 600 Lowe Avenue, will also operate Monday through Friday with the same hours.

In Ridgetown, assistance registration will be held at 18 Main Street East on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Applicants are asked to bring a household income statement and identification for each household member, including full names and current addresses.

Spaces are limited, and assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
