A Remembrance Day Ceremony, Mkwenmaanaanik Giizhgad (Honour, Respect, and Remember), was held on Friday, November 8, 2024 on Walpole Island First Nation.
The ceremony started with a walk from the Bkejwanong Children’s Centre to the Veteran’s Monument.
The event was hosted by the Bkejwanong Children’s Centre, in collaboration with Anishinaabe Kinomaagewgamig, Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig, Bkejwanong Biiweziimag Kinomaagewgamig, and WDSS Future Elders.
