On Sunday night, November 17, 2024, the Walpole Island Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 186 Austin Road.
“We arrived to a fully involved trailer fire, close to the house nearby,” Walpole fire officials say.
“We stopped fire extension to the abandoned structure, but damage to the trailer was great. Hydro was called to remove the live hydro, and down wires.”
Walpole fire officials added firefighters extinguished the fire and left the scene after hydro was disconnected from the downed wire.
