Disturbance results in public intoxication charge in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday, December 5, 2024, police responded to a call for service regarding an alleged disturbance in the area of Queen Street in Chatham at approximately 8:13 p.m.

Upon arrival, police located a 28-year-old male causing a disturbance.

Upon further investigation, the male was determined to be heavily intoxicated and deemed incapable of caring for himself.

As a result, the accused was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and held at the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters until sober.
