Bail violation complaint in Tilbury leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday December 27, 2024, shortly before 9 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service regarding a Bail Violation complaint in Tilbury, Ontario.

Information received regarding the call for service was that a male party who is currently on conditions not to speak to his ex-girlfriend because of previous charges against her was continuously contacting her.

Responding officers were able to confirm this information with the female resulting in grounds for the arrest of the ex-boyfriend.

Officers then attended the male parties address where he was placed under arrest.

A 42-year-old Tilbury man was arrested for failing to comply with his release order, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
