Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 51-year-old Thamesville man is facing an assault charge following an incident on Base Line in Thamesville, Ont.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an assault complaint at approximately 3:41 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Through their investigation, police learned that a male party, during a verbal argument, had aggressively grabbed a female by the arms, causing bruising to both arms.
As a result of the investigation, the man was arrested and charged with assault.
The accused was brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he was released on an undertaking with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19, 2026.
