Damaghe is estimated at $2-million after a fire in downtown Tilbury on Friday evening, March 21, 2025.
Fire crews from six stations responded to a structure fire at 6:59 p.m.
“A total of 18 apparatus and 58 firefighters responded to the incident,” Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue officials said in a media release.
“Businesses occupy the first storey with apartments above on the second storey. There are displaced occupants that are in the care of victim services and CKPS.”
Fire officials say there were no reported injuries.
Fire and water damage is extensive, fire officials added, as the roof of the building collapsed.​
The cause of the blaze is undetermined.
