Renovations are officially underway on the track at Wallaceburg District Secondary School.
The school announced construction has begun and is asking members of the community to stay off the back campus while the work is completed to allow the project to proceed safely and without delays.
School officials said the renovated track is expected to be ready for students when they return in September.
“We are asking our community to please stay off the back campus while work is being done so we can keep things moving smoothly,” the school said in a social media post.
The school thanked the community for its patience and support during construction.
“Thank you for your support as a fresh new track is built for our Tartans to enjoy this September!” the post said.
