Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 25, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 29-year-old Blenheim man was captured via surveillance footage spitting on the keypad of the entrance of the Chatham-Kent Police Service building in Blenheim.
On March 16, 2025, he was released by the court with conditions, including a requirement not to leave his residence while under the influence of alcohol.
Later that day at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to a call for service about an unwanted person on Wellington Street in Blenheim.
Officers located the same male, who showed clear signs of intoxication. The accused also admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier that day.
The male was arrested and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of failing to comply with a court order.
He was released with a scheduled future court date of April 16, 2025.
