Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 8, 2025, at approximately 8:14 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police service responded to a domestic dispute at a residence located in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the dispute involved a 38-year-old male from Chatham and a 36-year-old female from Chatham, who were previously involved in a relationship.
The two parties had been bound by a court ordered conditions stemming from a prior incident, including no communication and attendance where the victim is known to be located, including of the victim’s workplace and school.
Despite these conditions the accused attended the residence where a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation and threatening statements were made to the victim.
The accused fled the scene but was later located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service.
He was found to be in breach of his communication order and he was charged with the following:
– Fail to Comply with Release Order
– Assault
– Assault
– Uttering Threats to Cause Death
The accused is currently being held for bail.
