On Wednesday evening, the Walpole Island Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire involving a small shed.
“Upon arrival, crews encountered a fully involved fire and acted swiftly to bring it under control,” Walpole fire officials said.
“Despite our efforts, the shed was deemed a total loss. Prior to the arrival of fire personnel, witnesses reported hearing explosions coming from the structure. The fire has since been fully extinguished, and all crews have returned to service and are ready to respond to future calls.”
There were no injuries, fire officials added.
