OPP officials allege: On April 10, 2025, at approximately 7:50 p.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Highway 402, east of Oil Heritage Road observed a motor vehicle travelling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.
A traffic stop was initiated on Oil Heritage Road, south of Highway 402.
As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old of Mount Brydges, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:
– Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
– Drive motor vehicle – no currently validated permit
– Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
The driver was further issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle has been impounded for a period of 14 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court – Sarnia, at a later date.
