Lambton OPP officials allege: One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop on Mandaumin Road.
On April 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling a what appeared to be a high rate of speed.
A traffic stop was initiated on Mandaumin Road, south of Lakeshore Road, Sarnia.
As a result, a 19-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Speeding 1 – 49 km/h over posted speed limit
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on May 19, 2025.
