It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brandon Kevin James Schaffer on April 24, 2025, at the age of 38.
Born in Wallaceburg on November 28, 1986, Brandon was the beloved son of Brenda Ide Schaffer and Kevin Schaffer (Pam).
He was a devoted brother to Somer Schaffer (Jesse), and a cherished grandson to Jean Schaffer.
He is predeceased by his grandfathers, James Schaffer (2023) and Jerome Ide (2024), his grandmother Emmy Ide (2002), and his mother, Brenda (2023).
Brandon is also survived by many loving extended family members, including his aunts Michelle Ide Pellicciotta (Mitz) and Tracy Kress (Rick), and his uncles Ron Schaffer (Julie) and Rob Schaffer. He will be fondly remembered by his cousins Tiffany Hart (Adam) and their children Blake and Trevor; Candice Schaffer (Mario) and their daughter Sofie; Melissa Heming (John Luc); and Amanda Heming (Chris).
Brandon had the softest heart and a generous spirit — he would do anything for anyone. He was a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan and found joy and calm on the golf course. His beloved dogs, Bella and Betty, were his constant companions, bringing him great comfort and love.
He will be remembered for his warmth, loyalty, and the daily check-ins asking us simply, “sup.”
A celebration of Brandon’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared by the family.
