Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 14, 2025, at approximately 9:06 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Police Service investigated a report of mischief after a resident submitted video footage showing a neighbour spitting and pouring liquid on their outdoor doorbell camera.
Officers reviewed the footage and confirmed the suspect’s identity as a 54-year-old male from Chatham.
Officers attended the resident of the accused, but the individual refused to the exit the home and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was charged with Mischief Under $5,000.
On May 19, 2025, at approximately 12:03 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service located and arrested the accused based on his existing warrant for mischief.
The individual was released with a scheduled future court date of June 23, 2025.
