Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 18, 2025, at approximately 1:26 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault involving a vehicle.
Upon investigation, officers learned that a victim, a 61-year-old male from Chatham was sitting on an e-bike in a front yard when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old male also from Chatham.
The individual was located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service.
The accused has been charged with the following:
•Assault
•Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
He was released with a scheduled court date of June 30, 2025.
