Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 25, 2024, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of physical assault involving a 34-year-old male from Chatham-Kent.
The suspect assaulted two individuals, neither of whom required medical attention.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, released with conditions, and given future court date of January 27, 2025.
However, he failed to appear in court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On May 20, 2025, at approximately 4:52 p.m., officers observed a male matching the suspect’s description walking along train tracks in the area of Keil Drive, Chatham.
Upon noticing the police, the individual fled on foot and attempted to hide in a nearby bush area.
Officers quickly located and arrested him.
The suspect is wanted for two counts of assault and multiple failures to attend court.
Due to the number of outstanding charges and prior court-related convictions, the individual was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he is currently being held for bail.
