Margaret Ruth Zavitz of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the age of 98.
She was born in Port Hope, Ont. and was the daughter of the late Thomas Jacob & Mildred Adelia (Carroll) Bennett.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Ephraim Zavitz (1990).
Loving mother of Catherine Lumley (Eric) and Rebecca Curran (Michael).
Dear grandmother of Rae Jardine (Vance), Craig Lumley and Adam Curran (Kate) and great grandmother of Isla, Robert and Charlotte.
Sister of Nancy Lyons and the late Pauline Scott.
Margaret graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Home Economics and Math.
She moved to Wallaceburg in 1950 to teach at Wallaceburg District Secondary School.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 4 – 6 PM on Monday June 2, 2025.
