Six graduate from the new CKPS Special Constable Program

Six members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service have completed training under the service’s newly implemented Special Constable Program.

The six-week course is part of Ontario’s updated Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA), and includes instruction in areas such as community policing, courtroom procedures, testimony, and traffic enforcement.

The graduates are Special Constables Jennifer Pereira, Quentin Forgie, Bret Drew, Nolan Hakr, Ricca Ng and Brenda Koldyk.

The service says the program is designed to align with the updated legislation and reflects enhanced standards for training and professional development.
