Sydenham Challenge Dragon Boat Festival held in downtown Wallaceburg (Video)

Wallaceburg was alive with excitement as the annual Sydenham Challenge Dragon Boat Festival made its return.

The event, celebrated for its blend of teamwork, competition, and community spirit, saw paddlers take to the water in a test of strength and coordination.

Races kicked off on Saturday, June 7 at 8 a.m., with teams competing in a series of thrilling matchups, each one showcasing determination and camaraderie.

This year, an exciting new feature was introduced—a dragon boat tug-of-war, adding an extra layer of strategy and endurance to the competition.

The event took place at Branch 18 – Wallaceburg Legion, providing a welcoming setting for both participants and spectators to enjoy the day.

With its electric atmosphere, determined competitors, and the addition of the tug-of-war challenge, the Sydenham Challenge Dragon Boat Festival delivered another unforgettable celebration of teamwork and perseverance.
