OPP officials allege: An individual faces numerous charges following a collision in Corunna.
On June 9, 2025, at approximately 9:10 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision in the area of Cameron Street and Murray Street, Corunna.
Early investigation determined that an unoccupied parked car was struck, and that the driver failed to remain at the scene. A witness approached the driver, at which point an altercation occurred.
There were no injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
– Assault
– Dangerous operation
– Failure to stop after accident
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on July 8, 2025.
