Routine stop in Wallaceburg leads to multiple charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 3, 2025, an individual was arrested by Chatham-Kent Police in connection with several investigations.

He was subsequently released by the court with conditions and a future court date.

On May 20, 2025, the individual failed to attend a scheduled court appearance, and a warrant was issued for their arrest.

On June 11, 2025, at approximately 10:33 a.m., the individual was located on James Street in Wallaceburg during a routine stop.

It was discovered that the individual had an outstanding warrant for failure to attend court.

The 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and held for bail. He is currently facing the following charges:

– 5 Counts -Failing to attend court

– 2 counts – Failing to attend court after appearing

– 2 counts – Failure to comply with appearance notice

– Assault

– Assault with a weapon

– Mischief under $5,000
