Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 9, 2025, the individual was arrested as a result of an assault investigation and released on a Form 10 Undertaking with conditions, including a requirement to attend court, and prohibitions to contact the victim.
On April 16, 2025, when the individual failed to attend a scheduled court appearance a warrant was issued for their arrest.
On June 11, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., police located the individual in a vehicle on St. Clair Street, Chatham, during an unrelated incident.
Upon discovering that a female passenger was the victim in the original case, the 23-year-old Chatham man was arrested for breaching the undertaking and an additional charge of failure to comply.
He was transported to police headquarters and held for bail. He is currently facing the following charges:
– Assault
– Assault with a weapon
– Assault causing bodily harm
– Failing to attend court
– Failure to comply with an undertaking
