Trinity United Church in Wallaceburg is inviting the community to take part in an evening of awareness, empathy, and understanding on Wednesday, June 26, as it hosts a public event focused on homelessness, mental health, and addiction.
The event, part of an ongoing effort to deepen local understanding of complex social issues, will feature lived experiences and shared stories from individuals directly impacted by homelessness and related challenges. The goal is to open up honest, compassionate conversations and help community members explore how they can respond with empathy and support.
“Sometimes it’s difficult to know what to do when we encounter folks in our community who are suffering from addiction, in a mental health crisis, or experiencing homelessness,” organizers shared. “We have an opportunity to lean in and listen with compassion as we learn how we can be better neighbors.”
The event is free to attend, and all are encouraged to participate and help spread the word about this meaningful community dialogue.
