Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 18, 2025, at approximately 8:55 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault following a dispute at a residence in Chatham.
It was reported that a 35-year-old male from Chatham attended a residence to confront a 36-year-old female victim, also from Chatham.
A verbal altercation escalated, resulting in the female being physically assaulted.
Police attended the scene and arrested the accused, who was charged with assault.
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.
He was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of July 24, 2025.
