Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 13, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be stuck in the mud in a rural area in Chatham.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was stolen and not registered to the male occupant.
As a result, a 43-year-old male from Blenheim was arrested and charged with the following:
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The vehicle was recovered and returned to the rightful owners.
The accused was released with a scheduled future court date of April 28, 2025. After failing to attend court, an endorsed warrant was issued for his arrest (RM25001597).
On June 18, 2025, at approximately 7:02 p.m., officers conducted a routine traffic stop and located the accused involved in the prior case.
He was arrested on the strength of an endorsed warrant related to the possession offence.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and was released with a scheduled future court date of July 23, 2025.
