On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Norman Joseph Michiels (Poopoo), a longtime resident of Wallaceburg, passed away surrounded by family at the age of 91.
He will be missed dearly by his loving wife Louisianne and by his children Lucille (Mark) Dramnitzke and Richard (Shari) Michiels.
Cherished poopoo of Branden (Heather), Danielle (Dale), Ricki (Macgregor), Bailey (Shawn), Lucas (Kristyn) and great poopoo of Blair, Harris, Wylie, Louie, Otis, Myrah, Palmer and Leni. Son of the late Gustaaf and Gerarda (Van Poucke) Michiels and dear brother of Blanche (Lang) Chase, Noram (Bill) VanEerd, Nancy Joyce Michiels and the late Michael Michiels (2016).
He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Fairfield Park Nursing Home for all your care and compassion.
Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231). Family and friends will be invited to A Celebration of His Life, which will be held in September.
