Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 36-year-old Wallaceburg woman is facing an assault charge after a domestic incident late Wednesday night.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a reported disturbance at an apartment on Wallace Street around 11:30 p.m. Officers spoke separately with a man and a woman at the residence and determined the dispute, which began as a verbal argument about their child, escalated when the woman allegedly slapped the man.
The woman was arrested and later released with conditions. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.
