Man charged after threatening bank staff in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 51-year-old man has been charged with uttering threats after police responded to a disturbance at a financial institution on Lacroix Street on July 5.

Police say the man became agitated after being denied service when attempting to withdraw funds from an overdrawn account.

He allegedly threatened a staff member and was later released with conditions and a court date scheduled for August 11.
