Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On July 4th 2025, the Community Crime Unit (CCU) received an online report regarding a theft from a residence on East Street North.
The suspect was captured on a residential surveillance camera stealing a delivery package from the victims porch.
Police identified the suspect as a 47-year-old man of No Fixed Address.
On July 9th 2025, the man was arrested for theft under $5000 and held for a bail hearing.
He was later released on bail (Form 11 Release Order), his next court date is July 17th 2025.
The Sarnia Police Service would like to remind members of the community that residential and commercial surviellance systems act not only as a deterant to criminal activity, they are also assist the police with identifying suspects and aid in criminal investigations.
