OPP officials allege: A 30-year-old Windsor man has been arrested following a human trafficking investigation that identified multiple victims.
In May 2025, police received information about a victim being trafficked through online advertisements. Under the Provincial Human Trafficking Intelligence-led Joint Forces Strategy (IJFS), the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation and uncovered an additional victim.
On July 16, IJFS members from the OPP, supported by tactical and investigative units from police services in London, Hamilton, Kingston, Ottawa, Peel, and Toronto, arrested the accused and laid multiple charges under the Criminal Code.
The individual faces one count of communicating for the purpose of obtaining sexual services and three counts of procuring. They remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on Monday, July 21.
Police say the case underscores the importance of collaboration among law enforcement agencies to disrupt trafficking operations and support victims.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
