OPP officials allege: A 20-year-old Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop earlier this month.
Middlesex OPP said an officer on patrol stopped a suspicious vehicle on Longwoods Road at around 1:02 a.m. on Aug. 3. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
The accused has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 28 in London.
