Shattered window in Wallaceburg leads to mischief charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 29, 2025, at approximately 3:06 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a mischief complaint in the area of Wallaceburg.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that an accused, a 30-year-old male from Wallaceburg, contacted a complainant, a 21-year-old female also from Wallaceburg. The individual indicated that he intended to attend her residence to engage in a physical altercation.

Shortly after the accused arrived, he began striking and shattering a window of the complainant’s residence. A verbal argument then ensued between the accused and the complainant. The accused left the scene before police arrived and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On August 12, 2025, at approximately 3:06 p.m., police conducted a person stop that led to the arrest of the accused in connection to the endorsed outstanding warrant.

The accused was charged with the following:

– Mischief Under $5,000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was released with a scheduled future court date of September 18, 2025.
