Chatham man arrested on outstanding warrants after foot chase

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 35-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested after fleeing from police on Princess Street North on August 29 around 7:20 p.m.

Officers on patrol recognized the man, who was wanted on outstanding warrants. He ran into a residence, exited through a window, and attempted to escape on foot before being caught.

Given his history of failing to comply with court orders, he was held for bail but later released by the court with conditions. He is scheduled to appear again on September 23.

He faces multiple charges, including failing to comply with a probation order, trespassing at night, possession of stolen credit card data, fraud, use of stolen credit card data, three counts of theft, three counts of possession of stolen property, and break and enter.
