The Wallaceburg and District Museum will host the premiere screening of Strange Tales of the South Shore on October 3, with the first episode focusing on the region’s well-known Baldoon Mystery.
The 40-minute film was created by Windsor filmmaker Ken Amlin of KRA Productions Inc. and explores one of Southwestern Ontario’s best-known stories of the unexplained. The event will take place in Jeanne Gordon Hall at 7 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session with Amlin.
Organizers note the episode contains eerie themes and suspenseful moments that may be unsettling for some viewers. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance.
Amlin is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has been featured at festivals in Canada, the United States and abroad. His short film Stay won multiple awards in 2020, and his credits also include Halloween Heroes and The Backhand.
The museum says the screening offers residents an opportunity to experience local history and folklore brought to life on screen while connecting with the creator behind the project.
