Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is inviting community-minded individuals to apply for open positions on its board of directors.
The organization said the board provides oversight, guidance and strategic direction while working with law enforcement, community partners and volunteers to support initiatives that encourage anonymous tips, prevent crime and keep communities safe.
“Our program has benefited tremendously from the time, expertise, and dedication of our Board over the years,” said Erica McIntosh, coordinator for Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers. “Their support has helped us grow stronger, reach more people, and ensure our mission continues to make a difference in Chatham-Kent. I am so grateful for the individuals who have served, who are currently serving, and for those who apply to work with us to continue to build safer communities.”
Board president Sarah VandenBrand said the organization is seeking individuals from diverse backgrounds who can bring new perspectives and skills.
“Crime Stoppers is built on collaboration and community spirit,” she said. “We’re looking for some new faces and new ideas to join our Board so that we can continue to grow and adapt. Having a wide range of voices and perspectives at the table helps ensure that our work reflects the needs of the community we serve.”
