Two arrested after drug paraphernalia found in vehicle

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police arrested two people after a traffic stop on Richmond Street in Chatham on Wednesday.

Police say that on Oct. 1 at about 12:58 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence. A 52-year-old London man and a 44-year-old Chatham woman were identified as the occupants.

According to police, the investigation revealed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The two were arrested for possession under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

They were taken to Chatham-Kent police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.
