Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two men were arrested early Monday morning after police responded to a disturbance call that led to an impaired driving investigation.
Chatham-Kent Police say officers were called to a residence in Chatham around 4:50 a.m. on October 20. A 37-year-old Chatham man was found to be breaching his release conditions while visiting the home of a 39-year-old man from Dover Township.
Police later located the 39-year-old driving eastbound on McNaughton Avenue with his taillights out. Officers stopped the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. The driver was taken to headquarters, where he failed further testing.
He was charged with facilitating a breach, driving with liquor readily available, operating while impaired, and operating with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
The 37-year-old man was also arrested and charged with failing to comply with a court order. He was transported to police headquarters and held for bail.
