Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 48-year-old Wallaceburg man has been arrested after police say he entered a Highland Drive residence without permission on October 21.
Police said the homeowner contacted them after discovering an unknown man had entered through the rear of the home. The suspect was chased off before officers arrived.
Officers located and arrested the man a short distance away. He was charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
Further investigation revealed the man was bound by a 12-month probation order issued on July 10, 2025, which required him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
