Huron Shores Area Transit continues to connect communities in Lambton Shores, Plympton-Wyoming, South Huron, Bluewater and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation with each other and Sarnia and London.
There are affordable and accessible transportation options with three routes and two buses serving 19 towns and villages, the service has become a vital link for residents, workers and visitors alike.
In 2024, HSAT recorded 25,592 trips and boardings, with an average monthly ridership of 2,028.
The busiest route remains Route 1, which runs between Sarnia and Grand Bend. To meet seasonal demand, the Route 1 Express Bus operates from July through October, supporting daytrippers and seasonal workers. Meanwhile, the Summer Bus runs in July and August, offering a convenient way for beachgoers to travel from London to Grand Bend via Route 2.
Fares are designed to keep travel affordable.
A trip from London or Sarnia to Goderich costs $20, while regular long-distance fares are $12 and local fares are just $6. Children 12 and under ride free with an adult, and Support Persons and CNIB cardholders with a special HSAT pass also travel at no cost.
Seniors, Veterans and those experiencing economic hardship are eligible for additional discounts.
HSAT’s network includes 40 bus stops and one flag stop, with the central Bus Hub located at Sobeys Plaza in Grand Bend.
