Liam Patrick Gary O’Flynn

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Liam Patrick Gary O’Flynn, who left this world far too soon at the age of 32. Liam tragically lost his life in a car accident on his way to work in St. Catharines during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Words often fall short in capturing a life so full of love, light, and laughter. Liam was a deeply caring soul. He was generous with his heart and time, and was loved and cherished by all who knew him. He was adored by his parents Trish and Grady, his baby sister Dana, and his brothers Paul (Brynne), Eamon (Caitie), and Conor (Jane). He was a beloved uncle to Wesley, Molly, Rose, Paxton, Roarke, and Hanlon, and the devoted partner of Sirena, who held a special place in his heart. He was also deeply loved by his extended family, and had a special bond with Aunts Beth and Kathy. Liam loved his many pets throughout his life, with his cat Oreo being first among equals. Liam’s kindness and humour drew people to him wherever he went. He remained close with his many friends from Wallaceburg District Secondary School, his hometown hockey and soccer circles, and his wide community of fellow competitors from the bodybuilding, powerlifting, and strongman competitions across Ontario and Quebec. Liam won numerous titles and had recently earned his professional designation in Strongman competition — an achievement of which he was immensely proud. Liam was a naturally gifted athlete in these matters, doing extraordinary things that not many humans can or will ever do… pulling fire trucks, lifting vehicles and deadlifting 870 lb barbells, but his truest gift remained his love of people and his ability to see the best in everyone. His employment, working with troubled youth, was a testament to this. He was immense, however sweet, with the strength of a grizzly bear, but the tenderness of a teddy bear. A private family gathering has been held, and cremation has taken place. Interment will follow at a later date at the family plot in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
