The Chatham-Kent Police Service is advising the public of a planned training exercise taking place in Blenheim on Monday, October 27.
Members of the Emergency Response Team will be conducting an Incident Command Scenario at 2 Nazarene Road between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The exercise will involve the CKPS Command Post, an armoured vehicle, and about five marked cruisers with multiple officers on site.
Police say the location, a commercial area, will be restricted to authorized personnel during the exercise.
Residents in the area may notice an increased police presence or hear related activity, but officials stress this is only a training exercise and there is no cause for concern.
