Dresden library branch to close temporarily for shelving upgrades

The Dresden Branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, October 29, Thursday, October 30, and Friday, November 7 to accommodate the installation of new shelving in the adult area.

The upgrades are intended to “create a brighter, more welcoming space for everyone to enjoy,” library officials say.

From October 31 to November 8, the adult fiction and non-fiction collections and the microfilm computer will be unavailable, even while the branch remains open. Visitors are encouraged to “stock up on your favourite materials before October 29.”

The library is expected to return to full services on Saturday, November 8. “Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to enhance your library experience,” the statement said.
