The Chatham-Kent Museum is set to open a new interactive exhibition, CK in Full Colour, on October 29, 2025. The vibrant display invites visitors to explore the science, emotion, and cultural significance of colour in everyday life.
The exhibition examines how the human eye perceives colour and how different hues can influence mood, behaviour, and interpretation of the world. It also highlights how diverse cultures within the Chatham-Kent community attach meaning to colour, enriching shared traditions and experiences.
Visitors can continue their exploration at the museum’s Imagination Station, which offers hands-on activities for all ages. The museum also invites guests to explore Out in the Open, a visible artifact storage area featuring nearly 5,000 items from the three-dimensional collection, accessible by flashlight.
The Chatham-Kent Museum is open for drop-in visits Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays until 6 p.m. Admission is by donation.
