Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were called to a residential building on Grand Avenue, Chatham, in response to a report of a 40-year-old male from Chatham who had barricaded himself inside his residence and was making threats toward police.
Members of the Emergency Response Team attended the scene and after approximately seven hours of negotiations, successfully made entry into the residence and arrested the male.
No one was injured during the incident.
The male remains in custody and has been charged with Uttering Threats.
The area is now clear and the investigation has now been concluded.
“We thank the community for their patience and cooperation while officers conducted the investigation,” police officials added.
