Four charged after Wallaceburg traffic stop leads to drug seizure

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A late-night traffic stop led to multiple drug-related charges after Chatham-Kent police seized quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine early Sunday.

Police say the stop occurred around 12:41 a.m. November 9 on Elizabeth Street after officers observed a traffic violation. During the stop, one occupant was arrested for obstructing police, leading to a search of the vehicle.

Officers found illicit drugs and evidence consistent with drug trafficking, resulting in all occupants being arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

A 21-year-old male was also charged with obstructing police and held for bail. He remains in custody pending his next court appearance. The three other co-accused were released with a court date of December 18, 2025.
